Life is a Fog..

As I started my day to catch an early morning flight to Mumbai, I was surprised to find a little fog in the air. Fog is very much usual for Delhi but at this time of the year - very unusual. Normally, fog is seen during late December and early January at Delhi, we remember watching the Republic Day parade on 26th January most of the time coming out of fog from Rashtrapati Bhawan end and by watching stout soldiers marching in chilly winter, our hearts always pray for the soldiers for the service they render to the Nation. I don't remember having seen fog at this time of the year for long at Delhi. So, its really unusual, but thats Delhi, people are used to such extreames in their daily lives..
Fog at this time, announces an early onset of winter for Delhi and I can easily forecast a long and cold Winter this time for Delhi as well as complete North India. The climate seems to be changing fast these days. Even the rainy season was very different, earlier when it was expected, everyone just waited and waited and then announced a shortfall of almost 40% of rain for the season, but suddenly came the return of monsoon, which broke all the records and suddenly Delhi was almost flooded, with all the shortfall taken care of.. It seems even God has some targets to take care and he was pushing hard to achieve those numbers, when it rained last time. Good for all of us, even for the economy pundits, as they can easily put India back on list of fastest growing BRIC nations. It will help punters to invest heavily in the Indian stocks and the market will again rise to new heights. But, but, but, I think the sensex at India will fall anytime soon and people again lose their money, beware..
Life at India is like that, changing every moment, creating new challenges and making new winners everyday. We should be ready to adapt to these changes to be in the line for the coveted awardees. I think, the climate is more in sink with old Indian calender which was based on Moon, as it is very usual to have a slight cold at the time of Diwali and this time even the festival of Diwali is on 17th of Oct. Enjoy the winters and enjoy the festival of lights, Happy Deepawali to everyone..

Enjoy the Sunshine..

Learn to change the circumstances and adapt to the situation to make the same advantageous and beneficial to you. You can make the change & easily enjoy the sunshine forever..try the same & Enjoy the Life!!!

Optimism

In the midst of Recession, there are many instances, which clearly stand out & convey the feeling that everything is not lost & buried. Still, many are making fortunes, with their optimism and great craftmanship. One such example is IPL led by Lalit Modi. He created a magic formula of T-20 Cricket, which in its first leg, clicked like anything and roped in many corporate to buy Team franchises and many to sponsor each single activity. So, IPL became the household Indian entertainer, which overshadowed everyones expectations and ultimately benefitted Indian Cricket to such an extent that nowadays its very difficult to choose the playing eleven from the bench strength. It really pushed the Indian Cricket so much forward that the Ranking of Indian team soared with each passing day and ultimately they challenged the supremacy of Australia.
So, when the time came for second year IPL Championship, everything seems to be going negative, the world was in deep recession, no coroporate has inclination to pump in large amounts for advertisements and sponsorships and final blow came from none other than Indian Government officials, which refused to provide necessary security cover to the players and officials, citing the excuse of Lok Sabha Elections during the same period. During all these hoop-laa, great Lalit Modi never showed a sign of depression or negativity. His every word was positive and he clearly showed to all that optimism can work wonders anytime, anywhere. He adjusted the schedule to appease the govt officials but when they finally failed to accept the revised schedule, he simply walked out of India and staged a magnificent extravaganza at the beautiful land of South Africa. rest is history. Above all, this change of country and scheduling the matches were done in so short a time, that anyone can understand that he and his team might have not slept for many a days continously till everything is finalised. A marvelous job .. infact even after matches were scheduled in South Africa, many a people believed that this IPL will fail to bring in people to the stadium. But, now it is proved beyond doubt that Lalit Modi has to just touch anything to turn it into gold. he has power of strong believe in himself and he back those beliefs and act wisely based on those beliefs. His optimism can be taken as the ultimate example to learn, how to shape up any project in difficult times.
So, be optimistic and be open to adjust & learn from anything & everything, enjoy the game of Life!!!

I'm back..

Woh.. its been Oct, Nov, Dec of 2008 and then Jan, Feb, Mar, April and mid of May, seven and a half months, since I logged into my Blog and posted anything.
When I look back, its been hard times all along for many of my colleagues and even for the rest of the World. The Fourth Quarter of 2008 was one of the devastating period, financially even for the best of the brands, many failed to keep up the promises or even revised promises done to the Investors and finally bent knees before the Govt for aid to survive. The First Quarter was almost similar, with more companies going burst. But, with all this financial tormoil happening around the world, even the ones who got money in hand, panicked and tried to save everything for the future, by restricting spendings on almost everything, including cutting the toilet rolls available in the washrooms. Sometimes, I think, in case people are surviving today on so thin budgets, how come in earlier times, no one was checking on the expanded budgets available to many a teams to splurge on anything possible, why the companies do go overboard in their spendings when the times are Good and do not keep everything in check. In case any spending is logically required, its reqd at any given time, be it recession, depression or volatile times or bullish times.., to run the business and no one can restrict the spendings which hurts the growth of business. So, if we are able to cut many spendings, definetely much of it can fall into the category of splurging rather than justified spending.
The past few months or I can say quarters have given us a great lesson about living within our means and the importance of the Savings for the future, I think, by these two virtues only, a country like India survived the recession easily and started posting favaourable financial results despite negative growth by the much of the rest of the world.
Lets, learn such more virtues and be able to survive any such effects and also teach others on techniques of doing the same, so that everyone lives happily without worries of EMI's, rents, etc.. Save more and Enjoy the Life!!!
